Here's Where to Start

I'm going to tell you the most simple and at the same time most profound idea you'll ever hear in all your life.

I mean that! In all your life!

Here it is: The reason you feel positive or negative at any given moment has nothing to do with other people or with what's happening in the world outside your door. It has everything to do with how you react to these influences on a mental and emotional level.

Let me introduce you to my colleague, Nina. During the 2009 economic downturn, Nina lost most of the money she'd invested in stocks and in her 401(k) plan. As a result, she was feeling very sorry for herself and really pissed at the world. She'd become impossible to deal with at the studio.
