Entering the U Field

In the introduction, we discussed how my family went on a Feldgang, a field walk, every Sunday. It was the opportunity for my parents to connect with and investigate the current state of the fields on the farm. We stopped every now and then, bent over, looked more closely, and picked up bits of soil with our hands. This book is our Feldgang—our chance to look at our blind spots with greater precision and clarity.
