Chapter . Introduction
The Zune can be said to be just another digital media player attempting to take a bite out of Apple, which dominates the MP3 market (controlling nearly three-quarters of it as of this writing). But the fact is that with a company such as Microsoft backing it, the Zune might just be the product to bruise the nice shiny Apple.
Technological politics aside, the Zune (Figure i.1) is an impressive piece of equipment designed to fit right into the world of Windows/PC users who like to listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks and even watch television shows and movies with a small media player.x
