CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

Team building

Use for: leading a team-building workshop

Traditional team-building activities such as clay pigeon shooting or bridge building might be fun, but they don’t always have a lasting impact on how team members work together in the future. Workshops are great for team building because they provide a space for people to work together in new ways towards an output.

The workshop objective: helping a team learn more about each other by working collaboratively

Team-building workshops can have any objective, so long as the team are working collaboratively to create something. Here are some common team-building objectives:

  • To improve how we work together.
  • To improve relationships between two departments.
