Action planning

Use for: creating an action plan

A workshop can be a productive, creative and enjoyable day, but if nothing happens as a result of the session, the time will have been wasted.

The workshop objective: creating an action plan that people commit to delivering

There are three stages to action planning for a workshop:

1  Agree what we want to happen.

2  Agree who will take each action.

3  Follow up to check it is happening.

By the end of a workshop, if you’ve had time to vote on and prioritise ideas, and develop them a little, you probably have a good sense of the goal you are aiming for.
