When an organisation has tried to do something for a long time and realises it needs to change direction, the people in the team can feel pessimistic about the lack of success so far, or concerned about what the future might hold. Both attitudes will stand in the way of a successful workshop, because new directions are hard to imagine at first. The best way to help people see new possibilities is to change the way they feel about the topic.
