Goal-Oriented

7. Ask the candidate what their goals were last year, whether they met them, and why.

Look for: A candidate who answers quickly (top of mind recall) and specifically about their goals. If they have to think about it, it’s probably not a habit, and therefore probably not something they like to do. Also look for enthusiasm about the process of setting and reaching goals (even if they weren’t attained for some good reason!).

8. Ask the candidate how often they set goals for themselves, and to give you examples.

Look for: A candidate who answers quickly (top-of-mind recall) and specifically about their goal-setting and for a candidate who does this stuff all the time!
