6. Generally during the interview:

Look for: A candidate who exudes energy. On the phone, you’ll notice it (if you listen for it!) in the tone of voice, the enthusiasm, the tone, and the pitch. In person, the candidate may be fidgety, may have a hard time sitting still for long, may use gestures and body language that tell you that they don’t put their feet on the desk. This is something that is best observed (rather than trying to find questions to ask about it). In the longer run, you’ll find some tricks of your own to detect this.
