Wandering around my neighborhood one sunny day, I found a large clump of variegated bamboo fluttering in the breeze. I liked the way the sun lit up the thin leaves, making the white and green striping more apparent.

Never one to be out and about without my garden clippers, I snipped several stalks and took them back to my studio.
