CONCLUSION

Effective leaders, current and future, have to use every communication tool available to them to get done what needs to be done. Technology and electronic gadgets are just some of those tools. Less tangible but equally essential tools are integrity, attitude, persuasiveness, appearance, and preparation, along with asking questions, making decisions, solving problems, managing others, and connecting to people.

A friend sent me a present that was a full-size computer screen and keyboard made entirely out of edible chocolate. It struck me as the perfect metaphor for what I’m trying to get across in this book: it was a blend of modern machinery with time-proven human self-interest.
