Picture Monitors: Monochrome
A picture monitor is, to all appearances, a high-grade TV set without sound. It does not contain the circuitry for ‘off air’ reception, but is instead fed directly with a selected source’s picture. It is the vital part in the control of camera pictures and represents the final link in the picture chain. The size of a monitor screen varies from a compact 5 in (125 mm) to 26 in (660 mm) (diagonal) for group viewing.
