The previous chapter introduced us to the principles of steering in wheeled vehicles. Now, we’ll take a look at two topics that are inextricably linked to steering axles: suspending axles and driving them. These interrelated mechanisms are frequently “separate,” yet because they affect the same final element, the wheels, they can be built only in a limited number of combinations.
