The Halt/Grant Snoop State

Refer to Figure 27-4 on page 691. The processor snoops any memory transactions generated on the FSB during both the AutoHalt Power Down and the Stop Grant states. When the Snoop Phase of a memory transaction is detected, the processor temporarily transitions to the Halt/Grant Snoop state, snoops the transaction, returns the snoop result on HIT# and HITM#, and then returns to the state that it entered from.
