REWARD

When you mention the word reward, people automatically assume that you mean money. Sure, the paycheck, the bonus, and the all-expense-paid trip are all tangible elements of a reward system. Money, however, is ephemeral—and it certainly cannot buy everlasting loyalty (although it may be able to rent it temporarily). For leaders, it is much more important to sustain the intangibles that can to turn casual followers into fervent believers. How? Reward and celebrate every step of the way.
