Creativity—the final frontier

Creativity is so crucial to the way that people survive, so ingrained in humanity, that it may well come to be a final frontier. From a societal perspective, it is representative of self-actualisation—Maslow’s uppermost tier of needs. In a business setting, making the most of creative talents could turn out to be the last struggle to stay in front of your competition.

Mankind has undergone several changes since arriving on the planet. For the purposes of this truth, these changes can be described as the following three ages.

  • Agricultural—Early man to mid-1700s.
  • Industrial—Comprising the century of the Industrial Revolution (circa 1750–1850) and beyond to the early 1900s.
