Truth 43. Exceptions: Can’t live with them; can’t live without them

For years, legal practitioners have told management to treat everyone the same. Use the same hiring practices, the same disciplinary considerations, and the same review processes for hires, transfers, and promotions. Pay everyone the same. Conform to legally compliant and consistently administered organizational policies and practices. Give little or no consideration to individual differences or circumstance.
