When the National Governors Association polled 10,000 high school students about their studies, it expected them to say they didn't want more work since school was pretty tough already. To their surprise, they found that students were disappointed that they weren't challenged enough! But, on reflection, is that so surprising? Although we may assume that most people would rather have an easy life than a difficult one, it goes without saying that we all also want our lives to have meaning.
