Executive Summary
As more critical business activities migrate to digital platforms, the relationship between IT and the business becomes more important than ever. While it's perfectly okay to use words such as alignment, collaborative, or synergistic when talking about this increasingly crucial relationship, the word that describes it best is partnership. As you will see in this chapter, the partnership between IT and the business takes many forms and is continually evolving. Managing this partnership is the CIO's highest priority.
