Locating EMI Sources
The first job in solving an EMI problem is to locate the source. Noise can be emitted from any of a wide variety of sources. Some are obvious (such as a radio transmitter), while others are not so obvious (such as dimmer switches in the lighting system). In this chapter we will look at some approaches to finding the sources, including both simple sleuthing tools and more formal radio direction finding (RDF) methods.
