7.1. Step 8: Achieve the quick deployment wins
The purpose of this step is to demonstrate success early and build momentum and credibility in the beginning stage of deployment. This can be compared to the training wheels used to give a child confidence when learning to ride a bicycle. If you start with your largest and most difficult project, there are greater risks of delays and cost overruns, which can result in less-than-stellar deliverables. Get your feet wet with a few small projects. Test the processes you developed while you were planning the deployment. Make adjustments or alter timelines based on what you learn here.
