5. Choose the Right Social and Virtual Platforms

Only after you have your strategy in place can you start to work on the tactics you will use to see that strategy through. It is during this tactical phase of your plan that you will take into consideration all the information you have gathered about your audience and the needs of various departments in your company and start looking at social media and the companion virtual platforms.

Some of the tools or platforms you use will be free and easily available; some you will have to pay for. Some will be off the shelf; some will need to be customized just for you. Each will come with its own advantages and disadvantages.
