  • Look at some of the most popular videos shared.
    Go look at the most popular videos posted on YouTube and other video sharing websites. See what they have in common. Notice the strong entertainment value (entertainment is a very strong “What’s in It for Me?”).
  • Create a video.
    Go out and create a video. Try it. Keep it light, and keep it short (three to five minutes). Try to have the highest WIIFM you can for your customers. Give them a takeaway in the form of information, such as an “I didn’t know that,” or a “You can use it that way,” or just plain have fun.
  • Do not spend a lot of money.
    If you have a digital video camera, start shooting. If you don’t own one, borrow one first and try it to see if you like it. Download free software from the Internet, and have some fun editing.
  • Comment.
    Start building a community around your videos, products, services, hobbies, or other subject content. (See Chapter 2, Say Hello to Social Networking, for more information on how to build networks and communities.)
