As the title of this chapter indicates, we are looking for a workable solution; therefore, it is imperative to obtain all the right inputs at the start—before ideas are generated. At Strategyn we often explained to our students and clients that starting with ideas first is like trying to solve a simultaneous equation by guessing the answer.
