Current and Previous Ground Rules

There were sixteen ground rules in the previous set, in the first edition of The Skilled Facilitator. The current set, in this second edition, has nine ground rules. I have incorporated several interests in changing the ground rules.

First, I (and many of my clients who use the sixteen ground rules) wanted a shorter list because sixteen items are too many to hold in our short-term, or working, memory. Research shows that the number of items we can generally hold in short-term memory is seven plus or minus two.
