SIX SECRETS ARE A LOT TO KEEP. BUT THESE ARE COMPLEX, dangerous times, so the secrets are all the more critical to internalize. Fortunately, there are some clear guidelines for doing so, which I will discuss here, and you will not be going it alone. Leaders from all quarters of the organization and the system at large must work on them together. These guidelines are for all types of leaders—branch plant managers, politicians, CEOs, community leaders—in both the public and private sectors. They are the guidelines necessary for leaders if they are to survive and thrive in the twenty-first century.
