THE ART OF THE CLOSE-UP
Getting Up Close and Personal
One mistake that I also think a lot of shooters make, especially when they are just starting out, is not getting enough close shots. Close-ups reveal new information, focus the audience’s attention, and add drama by bringing us in closer to the details of a scene, cutting away the clutter of a room, and showing the emotion on subjects’ faces. They also come in very handy when editing.
