I shot a music video for a client that had big, effects-driven sequences involved. I sent a very early cut to the client for approval on just the performances before cutting in any of the greenscreen shots that we would use to make the storyline components. The artist’s manager sent back the notes for the first review. They were three very general notes, one of which simply said something about cutting in the storyline stuff, which was already on the agenda. I found out during the second review that the other two notes she had sent were basically the opposite of what the artist had wanted.
