Introduction

Editing is the major distinction between filmmaking and all the art forms that came before it. In some ways it’s the most important part of the process. I’ve seen a lot of videos that consisted of extremely compelling and interesting visuals that didn’t manage to come together in a coherent way due to poor editing. At the same time, I’ve seen average visuals that came together in a big way due to excellent editing. Editing is a talent, but it’s also a muscle, and the more you do, the better you’ll get.
