Now that you have your outline broken down into locations, you need to break each beat down into shots, since each beat might represent more than one shot. This is also a great time to stop, take a breath, and remind your brain to come up with as many fun, creative solutions as it can.

I number my shots by location and letter, and include a note about which beat they belong to in the description, so that I can easily reference them to my location-based outline and keep track of where each shot falls in the context of the video. I also like to include a little thumbnail on the page so that I can draw a storyboard if I need to. I tend not to do a lot of storyboards, but some people find them very helpful, and ...
