BRAINSTORMING NOTES
…I can’t even remember what song I was developing a pitch for when I wrote these, but I found them in a notebook and thought they might be worth sharing. Let’s break them down.
Some Things I Did Well When I Wrote These Notes:
• Thinking in terms of color and lighting.
• Developing themes. “This is for” is probably a lyric and I’m trying to pull visuals out of it.
• Not trying to get too fancy too early. Letting the song tell me its story and not the other way around.
Some Things I Could Have Done Better:
• Some of my jargon doesn’t mean anything to me anymore. I don’t know what a “push edit” is.
