ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Steve Denning is a senior fellow at the James MacGregor Burns Academy of Leadership at the University of Maryland. He is the former program director of knowledge management at the World Bank.
Denning, who was born in Sydney, Australia, studied law and psychology at Sydney University and worked as a lawyer in Sydney for several years. He then did a postgraduate degree in law at Oxford University. In 1969, he joined the World Bank, where he held various management positions, including director of the Southern Africa Department from 1990 to 1994 and director of the Africa Region from 1994 to 1996.
