Epilogue

The question of what’s next for Frank Savage is never far from my thoughts.

For me and the way I live my life, I consider my sails forever unfurled. I am forever open to the wind of destiny and to the promise of distant shores and new possibilities. Sure, my hair is a little more gray than it was decades ago when I was a young man starting my voyage, but my grip on the wheel that determines where I go and what I do in this vastly fascinating world of opportunities has never been more sure and steady.

Let me assure you, I am not – literally or figuratively – the retiring type.

My work goes on in the universe of global finance, actively engaged in searching for ways to solve our current crisis. I am a proud American and I want to do all I can to help ensure that our economy strengthens and thrives – especially among minorities too long denied access to capital and fair consideration. But I am not so provincial to believe that we live and work in a vacuum. We are all connected. Good and healthy business abroad helps to ensure that we have good and healthy business at home. And vice versa.

My heart still pounds as I near the closing of a major financial transaction. After all, finance is still my profession and I shall continue to be engaged in making constructive contributions to the global financial sector. Philanthropy occupies a soft spot in my heart, and my mind still races when I think about what I can do to help others, people and nations, as they struggle to accomplish ...
