No man is an island

Usually trotted out when someone is cutting themselves off from others, and possibly cutting off their nose to spite their face in the process. It’s quite right too. All of our lives interlink with others, whether we like it or not. Every action we make – or decline to make – affects other people, and other people’s actions affect us. This isn’t something to moan about when others are getting in our way or getting on our nerves. It’s just how life is. What’s more, it can be a whole lot easier to achieve big stuff if we have others on our side.
