Love it or hate it, your child has to have some kind of schooling. And although they’re not with you when they’re at school (unless you are home educating of course), your attitude will make a huge difference to how well they succeed at school – and I don’t just mean academically.

Your child will spend more hours at school than with you during term time, at least while they’re awake (assuming they stay awake at school). So this part of their life is hugely important to them and they need to feel that you’re interested, concerned and involved in it, albeit at a distance.
