Find qualities to admire in them
There’s no point being alive if you’re not going to keep learning. You might as well just fall off your perch now. And one of the best things about having kids is that you can learn so much from them.
It would be very boring if your kids were just like you. Where’s the fun in that? Don’t expect them to be like you because they won’t be. And they won’t like the things you do either. If you love cricket, they’ll be a football fan. If you love clothes, they’ll just want to hang around in dirty old jeans all the time. It’s their job.
