Stop sniping – someone has to

Which came first – the sniping, or the unhappy relationship? Affectionate teasing (which is genuinely appreciated) is one thing, but relationships that are going through a bad patch are often characterized by an uncharitable sniping from one or both partners. Is that what turned things sour? Or is it a consequence?

Actually, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that it has got to stop. You may resolve all your other difficulties, but if you don’t stop sniping, you’ll still have an unhappy relationship. You’ll be undermining each other, and both feeling unloved, uncherished, unnurtured and uncared for. That’s both sad and unnecessary.
