Make sure your partner is always pleased to see you
Do you remember when you first got together with your partner, before you were sure of their love? And maybe even after? If you arrived anywhere first you always had that nervous feeling until they turned up, and then as they walked in the room your stomach did a little flip. Whenever you saw them, your world lifted and the sun came out. Whenever they left, you felt bereft until you saw them again.
That feeling gradually fades, but it should be replaced with a variation on the same theme. You’re no longer surprised to see them, you have nothing to be nervous about now, and your stomach has settled if only out of habit. But you should still feel happier when your partner enters the room. ...
