Introduction

The purpose of this chapter is to look at the post-war growth of the Malaysian economy particularly in the context of international management education. Malaysia, previously known as Malaya, was formed in 1963, and is divided into two regions: Peninsula Malaysia, sandwiched between Thailand and Singapore; and East Malaysia, on the Borneo Island.
