The human performance improvement (HPI) process consists of identifying performance gaps, researching interventions to close performance gaps, selecting the right interventions for the particular problems, and assessing the degree to which the selected interventions helped close the performance gaps. The last phase of the process, assessment of the selected interventions, describes the HPI evaluator's key responsibility—measuring and evaluating the impact of the intervention on specific performance gaps or organizational goals.
