So, why 15 minutes?

Because it is easy. Fifteen minutes starts and ends quickly. It's relatively painless.

Fifteen minutes is difficult to overthink. You can't, really, because if you do, you'll be preparing for action longer than actually taking it.

It's also really fast. Even you have 15 minutes a day.

As such, 15 minutes is difficult to avoid. In fact, it's pretty much embarrassing to avoid.

Basically, I decided on 15 minutes because I needed an easily acceptable time frame for my clients' incredibly busy salespeople and customer service people. If I created a system that required an hour a day, I knew it wouldn't get done. I needed something that was impossible to argue with or resist.

Here's the biggest reason I went with 15 minutes a day: It's enough to create a new habit, which is what we're doing here.

The habit is the key.

It's the point where you stop thinking about it, and do it automatically.

One action a day, one communication a day, executed boldly, as a matter of course.

Just as you drink your coffee in the morning, or eat your lunch midday, you will take one of the proactive communication actions each day.
