The Power of Worthy Intent

ON AUGUST 26, 2005, I got a phone call from my wife, Laurie. She was not her usual calm, collected self and I could sense something had happened. Our young son Grant apparently had fallen off a skateboard at a friend’s home, hitting his head on the pavement, and the paramedics were on the way. We agreed to get off the phone so we could concentrate on driving. Within seconds, though, the phone rang again and Laurie, who was an ER nurse, was noticeably upset when she told me that instead we needed to head to the local community college where the helipad was located.
