Define Proposal Requirements

Most outsourced work relies on evaluation of the submissions made by potential suppliers. Whether they are called proposals, bids, quotations, or something else, you must carefully define both the information that the responders need to analyze and what you expect them to submit.

Based on procurement planning, document the statement of work (SOW) that you intend to have performed by another party. Include any performance or measurement requirements, acceptance and testing criteria, interface specifications, standards to be followed, deadlines, and any other essential information.
