Change Process

Once the project scope planning and the project baseline setting have been validated, use a documented process for scope change control. Managing the specifications of project deliverables is a central component of integrated change control. Although the formality of the control process may vary, even on short projects a written process will assist in maintaining scope stability. Effective processes default to a response of “reject,” forcing all proposed changes to establish their business value before becoming part of the project.
