What is this about and why is it important?

Prioritisation is crucial for effective delivery. From a project perspective there are two levels of prioritisation: the priority the project is given relative to other projects in the organisation, and the prioritisation of activities within the project relative to other possible activities. Conceptually, the process for prioritisation is the same at both levels, but the level of formality, complexity and responsibilities vary. This section applies to both: the project and activity levels.
