Concluding Remarks
As I noted in the Introduction to this book, its focus, recognizing the value of project management, is on the ability of an IT department to introduce a project office gradually over time. Of course, this should not deter those of you who want to proceed quickly, and, if you follow the procedures in this book, there is no reason why you cannot realize the benefits of a project office in a short period of time. The steps are the same whether you take them slowly or charge, full speed ahead, at them.
