Chapter 9. Making Project Management Flexible

The measre of project management presence lies in the deliverables that project managers produce; well managed projects are accompanied by documentation. Chapter 10 presents a set of deliverables that has become accepted throughout the discipline.

However, like any set of activities, project management leads to an end—the successful execution of projects. The project management deliverables are tools to be used to further that end; they are not themselves ends. In this chapter, we will consider one method for helping a project manager determine which of the many project management deliverables are appropriate for any given project.
