Level 2. Project Leader

The project leader is responsible for managing complete, smaller projects. The project team usually consists of up to five or six participants, excluding the project leader who is not responsible for producing project deliverables. The project leader reports to a line manager or project manager.

During project planning, the project leader is solely responsible for gathering any information needed to produce the work breakdown structure and activity estimates and is also responsible for project staffing, resource leveling, and the project schedule.
