TRUE OR FALSE: Companies are often disappointed in their product management structure when there is a mismatch between expectations and competencies.

TRUE. Many companies initiate a product management structure without a clear understanding of what they expect in terms of results and which product management skill sets will help deliver the results. Therefore it might be good to go back to the drawing board. Define expectations, determine what skills product managers do and should have relative to these expectations, and then establish a course of action to close the gap.
