24.2. Program Planning Processes

Planning defines and matures the program scope, develops the program management plan, and identifies and schedules the program activities. Planning helps the EPMO direct and manage the program successfully. The planning processes gather information from many sources, including the portfolio’s management team if the program supports a portfolio, with each source having varying levels of impact, completeness, and confidence.
