13.1. Training Program Plan Overview

The project business management training plan identifies the strategy for creating the courses that teach the necessary skills to the personnel responsible for portfolios, programs, and projects. The plan describes the process for identifying the training needs and skills and the responsibilities for executing the plan. The focus of this plan is to achieve the training goals of the eight project management roles identified in Figure 12-1. One process for developing such a program is shown in Figure 13-1.
